Practical applications - Your way to the safety case

This training is the final training module, consisting of practical implementation of what has been learnt in trainings 1 through 4. You will learn how to work together in a team and which are the important dos and don’ts. You will learn how to prepare workshops and how to correctly handle source references in your documents. Finally, you will develop safety requirements and methodologies for hazard mastery in all kinds of projects.

This training concludes with the Rail Safety Engineer examination.

This practice-oriented training teaches you how to apply everything you have learnt in the previous trainings. The goal is to independently demonstrate a safety verification by means of a technical safety report.

Working in a team
Dos and don’ts
Handling sources/documents
Creating a system design concept
Applying risk analysis and hazard log
Workshops/role exercises
Representing design requirements
Determining applicable standards and regulatory conditions
Consolidation of available safety information: vehicle analysis, safety requirements from the operation, etc.
Developing safety requirements, methodologies for hazard mastery
Explanation of examination and subsequent examination

Designed for:

Engineering employees and safety managers, who possess the knowledge from the previous modules and have passed the module-end examinations, and who will be required to master the daily handling of safety-critical information and methodologies.
