Certification as a Rail Safety Engineer

This additional qualification was developed in cooperation with the FH Aachen.

As a “Rail Safety Engineer”, you play an important role in the safety and functionality of
railroads and streetcars in Europe.
You are an expert in development and approval processes.
You know the relevant laws, directives and regulations and know how to apply them.

After your certification, your daily tasks will include vehicle-specific standards, risk minimization and the development of safety certificates – in a world that places ever-increasing demands on safety.

Description
In addition to the core aspects of
functional safety in the rail sector, the Rail Safety Engineer training course provides you with an overview of the standards and other
relevant regulations.

The 5 training modules take place in 4 non-contiguous weeks.
This gives you sufficient time between the modules to incorporate what you have learned into your everyday work.

Certification is limited to three years and subsequently requires re-
certification.
This ensures that you, as a specialist, are continuously dealing with rail safety issues.

EUR 13,530 excl. VAT
EUR 16,101 (incl. VAT)

In addition to your training, the costs also include
- 16 overnight stays in a unique atmosphere incl. breakfast
- Catering during the training incl. lunch and non-alcoholic drinks
- Networking in our lounge
- Joint learning evening incl. dinner and non-alcoholic drinks
- Support from the training manager during the training weeks

You will get to know the overall “rail” system and understand how the individual players in it interact with each other

2 days

Together, we examine the German and European approval process and the associated regulations

5 days

Together we deal with the contents of the railroad safety standards
EN50126, EN50129, EN50716

5 days

Building on your knowledge from the “Standards” module, you will learn measures and techniques in the context of EN50129

5 days

You use the skills you have learned in the previous modules to create a technical safety report
