CSM (RA)
is a European regulation (402/2013) that defines uniform requirements for the assessment and
management of risks in the rail sector.
The method provides systematic processes and tools to:
1.identify risks associated with changes (e.g. new technologies, processes, infrastructure) to

3. implement risk mitigation measures.

The update training course provides knowledge of the changes and innovations in rail safety.
The focus is on the new standards and updated regulations. These include the
Vehicle Safety Directive(SIRF) and the technical specification for the interoperability
of various subsystems(TSIs). We would also like to discuss the implementing regulation of the
EU Commission and the fourth railroad package in more detail with you. In order to jointly advance the rail industry
, we will discuss the changes in approval and verification with you
as well as the revised General Railway Act.
The validity of a Rail Safety Engineer
certificate can be extended by a further 3 years by taking an exam at the end of the training course.
